My name is Mika. I was born in a tiny country in Europe named Denmark but live in USA with my family. I’m a born-again believer, husband, father, friend, student, food enthusiast, and fulltime minister.
I’m a Born-Again Believer
God has saved me by his grace by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die on a cross to pay the penalty for my sins. By repentance toward God and faith in Christ, I stand justified before God and have been covered in the righteousness of Christ. Instead of being a slave to sin, I’m free and wholeheartedly desire to live a holy life to God’s glory according to His word. I hold to a Reformed Dispensational Theology, which is reflected in my writing on this blog.
I’m a Husband
I was blessed to marry the world’s most wonderful woman (Fabiola) back in 2007. She is the love of my life and my perfect helper. The cool thing is that we are very different in many ways, yet our differences bring us much stronger together as a whole. She loves the Lord with all her heart. She is smart, loving, considerate, and creative, and I learn much from her every day.
I’m a Father
I love my children: Kalea, Levi and Luana. They bring much joy to my life, and I cherish them. Our favorite game is to “play wild.” The rules are simple: Throw the kids into a couch or bed wildly, hoping that nobody gets hurt. Besides having fun, I take the responsibility of being a father seriously and strive to bring my kids up in the training and admonition of the Lord (Eph 6:1-4).
I’m a Friend
The Lord has blessed me with good friends from around the world. I especially love and appreciate my brothers and sisters in Christ from my local church. I always desire to be a loving, understanding and encouraging friend. I believe an authentic friendship is built on a mutual desire to grow towards Christ-likeness.
I’m a Student
I enjoy learning and growing in my love for God and my understanding of His Word. I spent a considerable amount of time in the word daily seeking to “be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him” (Col 1:9-10).
I’m a Food Enthusiast
I’m crazy about tasting new foods and explore the variety of different combinations of indigents. God gave us our taste buds for a reason, so I want to make sure to take full advantage of them. Who wouldn’t want to drive a Ferrari if they owned it and had the keys?
I’m a Fulltime Minister
I was self-employed until 2017, where I began to work fulltime for the Bridge Bible Fellowship in California. I serve the church as the Director of Outreach and Evangelism and Young Adult Ministries. My work philosophy is quite simple: I aim to do all my work for the Lord according to Col 3:23, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
